GRANVILLE NY – Jensie E Parker, age 90, passed away at her home suddenly on Sunday, May 20, 2018. She was extremely pleased to be independent and live on her own for all her years.
Jensie was born on October 17, 1927 in Middle Granville, NY as the daughter of Antonio and Mary (Gordon) Maldarella. Jensie was proud of the fact that she was first generation of her Italian born father.
On December 22, 1948 she married the love of her life, Robert Parker and together they raised their 10 children until his passing on July 28, 1978.
Jensie was a devoted and loving Mother to her ten children. Her life was always all about her children. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching hummingbirds come to her feeders. Jensie loved sewing and doing crafts to pass her time, as well as baking.
Jensie was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert F. Parker, children: Robert G. Parker, Michael S. Parker and Toni Lee Watson. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Daniel Maldarella, Nicolella Condon and Shirley Gillette.
Survivors
Jensie E Parker is survived by her children: Jensie Wetherby of Granville, June Stark (Roscoe) of Hampton, Violet Landon (Jim) of Granville, Nikki Conley (James) of Massachusetts, Danny Parker and dear friend Jean of Granville, Terry Parker (Cherie) of Brushton, and Robin Goff (Donald) of Kingsbury. Jensie was blessed with 29 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. In addition, she was also survived by her siblings Edith Sparling of Massachusetts, Antonio Maldarella of Kentucky, and Jack Maldarella of Massachusetts. Her extended family and friends surviving her are a daughter-in-law Evelyn Parker, brother-in-law John Condon of Florida and very close friend Judy McKinney. And last but not least, she leaves behind her feline friend of many years, Mittens.
Services
A funeral service for Jensie E Parker is being on Thursday, May 24th at 11 AM at the Robert M King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville with the Rev. Joseph Arockiasamy presiding. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Whitehall. A gathering will be held at Violet and Jim’s home in Granville following the committal. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 23rd from 6-8 at the funeral home.
