Wayne P Miles a former resident of Pownal passed away peacefully at Rivers Edge Community Care Home in Bennington where he had resided the past several years. He was 95.
Born in the Northeast Kingdom town of Glover on October 18, 1927 he was the son of Fred F. and Ethel (Keith) Miles. He attended area schools in the Northeast Kingdom graduating from St. Johnsbury Trade Academy with The Class of 1946.
Upon relocating to the Bennington area he worked for several years in the housekeeping department at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, travelling in the area and playing the piano.
He was predeceased by his two wives which were sisters Patricia Snelling Miles and Ethera Snelling Miles.
Wayne leaves his children Bruce Miles of Woodford and Bennington and Beth Miles of Pownal, a step son Roy Cook of Lyndonville.
In addition to his parents and wives he was predeceased by daughters Dianne Gray and Judith Cook.
