— Vivian D Pauquette, (formerly Potter) died peacefully at her home on November 2, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born in Granville, NY on February 14, 1931, the youngest child of Leta (Blanchard) and Russell Potter.
Growing up the all the Potter children were musicians and formed a family band. They were known to move the family piano out onto the lawn for a fun filled time of music playing and singing.
Vivian is survived by her son Daniel Martelle of Granville, New York, and daughter Deborah (Martelle) Riley of Whitehall, New York as well as grandchildren Jeremy Martelle, Michael Bruso, Daniel (Chip) Martelle, Tanya (Bruso) Love-Forrest, Jennifer (Martelle) Bailey, Lisa (Martelle) Branchina, Marsha (Martelle) Cirrito and Kendra Martelle. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
She was previously deceased by her parents, her brothers and sister, her first husband Paul Martelle and second husband Bernard Pauquette as well her beloved sons David and Douglas Martelle.
Vivian was a long time member of Eastern Star and Whitehall Elks Club BPOE #1491. She also enjoyed playing golf with her husband Bernie at Skene Valley Country Club.
Vivian was an amazing cook and fed many through the years at Eastern Star, the Elks Club and the Young At Heart Senior Center. Family and friends were very important to Vivian. She will be remembered by her family for her work ethic, her willingness to help anyone and her ability to make those around her laugh.
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of life for both Vivian and Bernard Pauquette will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Whitehall Athletic Club, 62 Poultney Street, Whitehall, NY. A private family burial will held at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Robert M King Funeral Home in Granville, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
