Saratoga Springs, NY – Theresa (Terry) Meyers of Kingsbury (previously Saratoga Springs) died Saturday, November 12th at the home of her son, Eric Meyers.
Terry was born in Amsterdam, New York on May 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Alfred and Anna Mae Hungerschafer.
Terry lived in the Saratoga area since 1962. She retired after working 36 years with the New York Telephone Company, she worked at many of the company locations.
Terry was also associated with McNeary Realty of Saratoga Springs. She was a communicant of St Clements Church, a member of the Ladies of Charity and the Telephone Pioneers of America.
She is survived by a daughter Priscilla,(Pam) (John) Nichol of Saratoga Springs, a son Eric of Kingsbury, a son Rock (Alyssa Diaz) of Saratoga Springs, two granddaughters, Amy Nichol of Saratoga Springs, Catherine (Robert) Holmes of Hartford N.Y., two grandsons, Jeremy Meyers (Marla Norton) of Glens Falls and Brandon Meyers of Tampa, Florida, also a great-grand daughter Raegan Holmes of Hartford N.Y.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joan Hungerschafer of Rotterdam Junction and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers William, Edward, Alfred and Clifford Hungerschafer.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be celebrated at the convenience of her family.
Terry ‘s love for travel brought her around the world, from Florida to Hawaii, Scotland, England, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Syria, Israel, and Jerusalem. While visiting Jordan she had the opportunity to meet the King of Jordan.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
