Porter Ranch, California – After a courageous battle with cancer, Monica Marie Mack – Miller passed away on August 21, 2023 at 1:52pm, at the age of 46, surrounded by her family.
Monica was born in Los Angeles County, California on July 11th, 1977 to Arthur L Mack and Yolanda Diaz Mack. Christina R Mack was Monica’s Stepmother.

Monica married Courtland Kimberly Miller- They met at the staples center shuttle that would take us to and from work. The two remained friends for a year and half before they would even went out on a date. Courtland asked her to meet him for drinks after a year and a half at The Wilshire Grand the two talked for hours. The two shared a kiss after the Cinco de Mayo. She drove in her purple Kia to the BB kings. They hid their dating for six months before due to their jobs. Courtland was a manager at the Staples Center. Courtland spent Thanksgiving with Monica and her family in Ohio. The two dated for nine and a half years. Courtland purposed in paradise cove in Malibu. They were married three months later.
At the Staples Center Monica was involved in Full Service Catering, and had restaurant & bar experience for high profile events at Staples Center such as: 10 Grammy Awards!
Monica opened two restaurants and was the co-owner of Main Kitchen Events.
Monica worked tirelessly to provide for her family, especially her daughter Debra. Special thanks to her Husband Courtland Miller for standing by her side during her battle. Monica never missed a New York Giants game. She was truly a wonderful woman.
Monica Marie Mack – Miller is survived by Daughter Debra Megan Flanagan, Siblings Gloria Mack, Arthur Paul Mack, Phillip Pena, Frank Ponce, Jamond Anthony Mack, Cassandra Alexandra Cordero-Holman, and many extended family members in California, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, and Indiana.

Monica enjoyed traveling with her family. She and her husband would spend time camping and traveling to places like Hawaii. The two enjoyed a six week road trip across the United States during this trip she saw the Hoover Dam, Idaho falls, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton, Yellowstone National park, Devils Tower Wyoming, Mount Rushmore, Sioux Falls South Dakota, the American Pickers store in Iowa, Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Mn, Toledo Ohio, the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, Westerville, Ohio and Xenia, Ohio.
While in Xenia they visited Wilberforce, Ohio, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Louisville Ky visiting the Sugar factory, Muhammad Ali Museum, Nashville Tn where she visited Broadway where Monica had a great time enjoying the lights, food and her husband. From there they went to Memphis, Tn visiting the Civil Rights Museum, Bill Ave, Monica got to see Graceland, and Palm Springs, Ca eating at a restaurant called Las Casuelas that she enjoyed very much. Monica loved to travel to the Caribbean and Mexico.
Back in Porter Ranch, California Monica loved her cats, Tiger and Oreo. She was big on Women’s Rights. Her hobbies included playing games on her phone and taking walks with her cat. Monica loved spending time on the beach hearing the Pacific Ocean. She welcomed everyone who stepped into their home and made them feel loved and safe and treated everyone like family. She will be missed by all those touched by her beautiful infectious smile, infectious laugh and relentless compassion.
Monica’s wishes were that she be cremated with a private service for the immediate family. The family will have a Celebration of Life, to be scheduled at a later date.
