Manchester, VT – Merrylyn A Bushee, 77, a resident of Cascade Road, passed away December 12, 2022 at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH.
Merrylyn was born in Rutland, VT on October 9, 1945 the daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Peppler) Lulek.
She attended Poultney schools graduating from Poultney High School. Merrylyn worked as a retail associate for R.K. Miles in Manchester for many years. Previously to that she worked for Ben Franklin in Manchester.
She was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Manchester and a member of the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
Merrylyn enjoyed reading, knitting and gardening. She loved attending dirt track races at Devil’s Bowl Speedway, listening to country music and taking pictures. She enjoyed traveling to Myrtle Beach, S.C. and her trip to St. Thomas. She enjoyed her home and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children Lynne Patrick and husband Brian of Rutland, William Bushee and wife Tammy of Rutland Town, Daniel Bushee and wife Brenda of Bennington and Michael Bushee and wife April of Manchester, brothers John Albert Lulek and wife Marian of Fair Haven, James Lulek of Rutland and Paul Lulek of Poultney and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Bushee, Jr. who passed away June 7, 2020, sister Sheril Lulek who passed away in 1961 and her grandparents Harry and Hazelle Peppler.
Graveside services for Merrylyn will be held in Danby-Scottsville Cemetery and will be announced in the spring.
