Jenice Bone’y

New York, NY – Jenice Bone’y was born on June 13, 1963, to William Bone’y and Suide Bone’y.

Upon Jenice’s graduation from Theodore Roosevelt High School, she began working as a Certified Medical Assistant with a surgical and medical Supply Distribution Center.

Jenice loved spending time in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals for family gatherings and church events, whereas she was an active member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, located in New York City.  Within her short years here with us, Jenice enjoyed providing love, care, emotional, spiritual, and financial support of at least a half dozen children in her church and neighborhood communities.  Many describe Jenice as a “surrogate auntie”.  Her rare and unselfish love for children was characterized during the time of her passing.  She was on her way to Atlantic city to celebrate her birthday with her neighbor’s 9-year-old young lady, who affectionately caller her “Auntie Jenice”.  Her uncanny adoration for other’s children memorialized her as a “sister’s Keeper”.

Jenice has earned her wings, and went on to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on June 9, 2021, from an unexpected heart attack.  Even though a fatal heart attack has taken her away from us, her loving heart left a beacon of light for all who were touched by her warmth.

Jenice had an uncanny ability to find happiness in even the most mundane daily activities.  Her love for children, kindness, and great love for others leaves us with an everlasting legacy.  She will always be remembered and honored by her angelic nature as a “Sister’s Keeper”.

Jenice’s pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.  Jenice’s father, William bone’y, preceded her in October, 1998.  Jenice is survived by her mother, Sudie; brothers, Nerus and James; and her sisters, Susan and Patricia, and many, many cousins.
