Gilbertsville, Pa – Carole Lynn Yoder (MacBain), age 60, of Gilbertsville, Pa passed away in her sleep on September 17, 2019 surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer. She was born December 28, 1958 in Doylestown, Pa as the daughter of the late Roger and Joan MacBain.
She was a star athlete at North Penn Senior High School, lettering in Field Hockey and Softball her freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. As a strong competitor and aggressive opponent she was driven by her innate skill and love of the game.
Carole Lynn Yoder (MacBain) is survived by her three children, Jaclyn Harner (Jeremy) of Gilbertsville, Darren Yoder (Tara) of Schwenksville, Matthew Yoder, of Zieglerville, engaged to be married to Nicole Flack and her four grandchildren, Lillian, Ella, Trent, and Claire, whom she adored. She also embraced Tara’s four children as her own grandchildren, Cash, Charliegh, Chance, and Sunny, when they became a part of her family. Also, she is survived by three siblings, Debbie (MacBain) Cieslukowski, Cindy MacBain and Scott MacBain. She was predeceased by a sister, Pamela MacBain.
Carole worked in food services most of her adult life and was currently employed by, Spring-Ford Area School District, as the cafeteria manager. Before then she held many jobs but none more important to her than mother and grandmother.
She was also an avid fan, cheering on her children and grandchildren in the various sports that they played. She was always found surrounded by grandchildren or sharing her love of them as a Meemaw. Her love and care for her family was her most cherished attribute.
Service to celebrate Carole are as follows; Friends will be received starting at 11:00 am Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale Pa, with funeral service at 12:00 Noon.
