Carol loved all kinds of music and spending time with her grandchildren. A perfect day for Carol was scouting out a few tag sales- looking for that special treasure, stopping to pick up a dozen ears of Moses corn to share with family and friends, swinging by one of her favorite restaurants and finishing the day reading a few chapters. She was an avid reader.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa M. Holliman, of South Burlington, VT, Susan C. Hinckley, and son-in-law, David W. Hinckley, of Rutland, VT; four grandchildren, David W. Hinckley, Jr., James C. Hinckley, Nicholas M. Hinckley, and Hannah B. Holliman; a sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline A. and Edward Leete, of Beaver Creek, OH, a brother, James McGurn, of Colchester, VT and a sister-in-law Jamie Balch, of Burlington, VT. Carol is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Carol’s request there will be no calling hours. Her burial will take place at the convenience of the family at St. John’s Cemetery in North Bennington.
