Asheville, NC – Angela Marie Evans, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 21, 2024.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Ronnie Wesley Evans and wife Patti, and the late Bonnie Eileen Mathis.
Angela worked for Mountain Housing Opportunities, a nonprofit in Asheville, where she enjoyed helping people in her community. Sissy, as she was known to all, loved to share stories and jokes, making everyone around her feel at ease. Her playful spirit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daddy, Ronnie Evans (Patti); sisters: Pennie Evans Ewart (Ronnie), Mindy Evans (Chris Buckner), Erin Evans, and Whitney Ensley; nieces and nephews: Keifer Ewart (Ashley), Corey Ewart (Krissy), Alex Buckner, Aleena Burns, Anubia Oliver, Jaxx Oliver, Brooklyn Cornelius (David), Kennedy Meadows (Casey), and Hayden Ensley; and many extended family and friends.
A time of gathering will be held from 2 until 4 PM on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
