Weybridge, VT – Agnes Benedict James, 92, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2022 at Shard Villa in Salisbury Vermont. The daughter of Arthur and Edith Benedict, she was born in Middlebury Vermont on February 11, 1930.  She was a graduate of Middlebury High School and Middlebury College in the class of 1952.

She married Stephen James of Weybridge on January 5, 1952 and lived the rest of her life with him on Monument Farms in Weybridge VT. Agnes was a dedicated worker in many organizations. She was the Weybridge Congregational church organist for 40 years and could be found in the church kitchen working at the Chicken Pie Supper and many other church events. She spent many years working at the Round Robin Thrift Store and the Blood Drive in Middlebury. She loved her vegetable garden and time spent at the family camp on Lake Dunmore.

She was predeceased by her husband Stephen and son Timothy. Survivors include her daughter Linnea James Everett and her husband Bill of Hebron, NH, son Peter of Weybridge and his partner Deb Sherman, son Robert and his wife Karen of Weybridge and grandchildren, Chris, Monica and Andrew Everett, Tyler and Mallory James, and Dan, Ben and Katrina James.  She was the proud great grandmother of five great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Myrdith McKinley and many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Amy Cousino for all her home care, Elderly Services for their continued support through COVID, Age Well that provided many years of meals, Addison County Home Health for their skilled health care, and all the care givers at Shard Villa who provided loving care for Agnes and helped her through her last days.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private.

Staunton, Virginia – Frank Thomas White, Sr, 92, widower of Edith Louise (Lewis) White of Staunton, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Mr. White was born in Staunton, Virginia on July 11, 1930, a son of the late Robert T. White, Sr. and Katie (Jones) White.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he sang in the church choir, and enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. White was preceded in death by a brother, five sisters, and a foster brother.

Surviving, is a son, Frank T. White, Jr. and his wife, Laquisha of Staunton; a step-daughter, Donna Anderson and her husband, Jacob of Staunton; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ellen B. Lewis of Philadelphia, PA; a niece, Ashley Philyaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Michael Turner. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.

Portland, Oregon – Robert Larson St Helen was born on December 17, 1929, in Portland, Oregon. He passed away at 92 years old on November 30, 2022, in the home in which he had lived for over 50 years.

Bob was a loving, dedicated, and steadfast father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He adored his children and his grandchildren, and they adored him. He was a kind and gracious man always thankful for even the smallest things and lived his life with integrity, joy, and hard work.

Bob had many hobbies in life from coaching baseball and softball when his children were young where he was President of the Mt. Tabor Little League, to woodworking, gardening, bowling, dancing, and especially, playing golf.

At 71 years old, he took up downhill skiing and enjoyed that for several years as well.

He was also an active member of the Lion’s Club for much of his adult life.

Bob survived his only son who passed away in February 2022, and he now joins him on their new journey.

He is survived by his three daughters, Kirsten, Lisa, and Judy, his seven grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Mitchell, Daniela, Nic, Emma, and Jaxon and a great-grandson, Dustin. He is also survived by his greatest love in life, his partner of more than 25 years, Millie, who brought him the truest joy and happiness during the years they spent together.
