Pocasset, Mass — 85 year old William H Palm Jr of Pocasset, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10th 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 5th 1934 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey to W Henry Palm and Dorothy (Lyon) Palm. He was in the US Coast Guard from 1952 to 1956 and went to obtain a civil engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1962.
For sixty years he was married to Anita (McLaughlin) Palm. Bill had a long career in the construction equipment business with The Caterpillar Equipment Company and Witt-Armstrong in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. In 1991 Bill moved to Bourne, Massachusetts and became Deputy Harbormaster in Falmouth, Mass. He had a great love for the sea and was an avid fisherman, and loved all of his faithful and loyal dogs
Those left to cherish the memory of William H Palm Jr are: Sons Gregory L Palm Sr. and his wife Cheryl A of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, William R. Palm and his wife Heather of South Hampton, New Hampshire; Glen M Palm and his wife Renee of Hampton Falls, New Hampshire, along with six grandchildren; Gregory, Cailee, Tyler, Brayden, Dylan, and Annabelle. He is also survived by his sister Nancy Felton-Elkins of Chicago, Illinois in addition to many nieces and nephews.
