Tom Swick

San Clemente, Ca. – Tom Swick, 67, of San Clemente California, passed away on March 13, 2020.

With great regret, we mourn the loss of our beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle, and dear friend Tom Swick. Tom had great affection for his family and friends, near and far. He had fond memories of growing up in Pennsylvania surrounded by family. He later moved to California, where he pursued his career as an engineer for the aerospace industry, met his wife and raised three daughters.

Tom loved staying active. He was a keen skier and raced bikes when he was younger. More recently, he went to the gym as much as he could; enjoying aerobics and body pump classes.

Tom had a dry sense of humor and you never knew whether he was messing with you or telling the truth. He was incredibly intelligent and loved poking fun at all the ironies of life.

Tom was a 13 year survivor of myeloma and a valuable leader of the Orange County California Myeloma Support Group. From his initial diagnosis, he sought out knowledge, research and attended several support group leadership summits in Dallas so he could bring back new information to the patients in the group.

He leaves behind his wife of 33 years (Judy), daughters (Monica, Shannon and Karina), son-in-law (Adam), grandchildren (Jamila and Ziyad), brother (John), and sister (Carol).

Tom fought hard and would want us to celebrate his life. Please stay strong for Judy and the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations towards Tom’s medical bills. The family can be contacted at swickfamilymail@gmail.com.
