Terry R Clark

Englewood, FL – Terry R. Clark of Englewood, Florida, beloved husband of Linda Clark, walked out of the arms of Linda and into the arms of Jesus on Friday, July 23, 2021, at his home in Englewood.  Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Raymond R. Clark Jr. and Barbara J. Clark.

Terry attended and graduated from Downingtown, PA schools.  He went on to work in a career of appliance repair but was skilled in many areas such as electrical repair, automotive repair, woodworking, plumbing, welding and just about anything you can think of.  Terry was a true jack of all trades and if he didn’t know how to do something he would learn how.  Terry was also very proud to have been a member of his church security team.

Terry loved automotive restoration shows and NASCAR racing.  In his spare time he would go off with Linda on travels, boating, or camping. One of Terry’s passions was mowing lawns and he happily mowed for many in the Sarasota and Charlotte County areas.  It was a common sight to see Terry watching videos of the latest riding mowers. He would take the ideas on the new ones and incorporate them into one of his riding mowers.

Last year Terry made a trip to Israel and was so excited to have been baptized in the Jordan River by his local minister.   He called this the trip of a lifetime and was thrilled to tour the ancient cities and country of Israel.

Left to cherish Terry’s memory is his wife Linda who he called the love of his life, as well as 3 daughters, Tara Clark Solt, Heather Clark and Megan Clark Burk.  Brother, Donald E. Clark; sister, Pamela L. (Robert) Martin; his grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Barry L. Clark and Steven A. Clark Sr.  Terry also leaves behind his faithful dog Woody as well as many friends and church family members that he loved dearly.  Special thanks to his friends Jerry Robinson and wife Amelia; and Jim Walker and wife Nancy for being there for Terry with much love and dedication. Terry loved you all so much.

Terry has asked that all who knew him and all who were a part of his life open their hearts to the love of Christ and to give their hearts over to Jesus.  John 3:16

Per Terry’s wishes there will be no services planned.   In his fashion of helping others, Terry has chosen to have his remains sent to Moffitt Cancer Center in the hope his journey may help others in the future through the study of lung cancer and finding a cure.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Terry’s memory to Moffitt Cancer Center Foundations, 12902 Magnolia Drive MBC-FOUND, Tampa, FL. 33612 or online at https://moffitt.org/about-moffitt/foundation/.
