Tanya Yvette Moore

Albuquerque, New MexicoTanya Yvette Moore went to her home with the Lord on 4-15-2020, after suffering a massive stroke in Denver, Colorado.

Tanya Yvette Moore

Born in El Paso, Texas with beautiful brown hair and hazel eyes, she looked like a little princess to her parents.

As a child in pigtails she was full of smiles, energy, and love. She negotiated getting her shoelaces tied by smiling and saying, “If you tie my shoes I’ll love you this much” (with her arms fully outstretched and a great big smile.)

She was an honor student in school with a genuine love for reading. She excelled at softball. In high school, she was chosen to be part of the elite R.L. Turner Lionettes.

Tanya was a vivacious person who loved to be silly. She had a beautiful smile and a hilarious sense of humor that could light up your life.

She loved life in the city, lake life, the Florida Keys, deserts, and majestic mountain vistas. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and sitting by the fire with friends and family laughing and telling stories. She was a delight to be with.

She genuinely loved music. She was gifted with an amazing sense of rhythm. Even as a child music literally moved her. Checking on her as she was dressing for first grade she could be found to be ‘movin’ with the groovin’ fresh from her bath – towel on the floor, before she began the actual process of dressing.

She was a poet, an author, and a storyteller.

Anyone fortunate enough to see Tanya with her Mom, sisters Dawn and Ria and other family at a celebration small or large witnessed a great deal of love, true happiness, wit, and an abundance of laughter.

Most of all Tanya loved and adored her beautiful baby girl, Micah, who was her world. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into Micah’s precious face, pure joy radiated from her. Tanya wanted nothing more than to share a wonderful life with Micah..

Tanya is survived by her precious daughter Micah Moore, mom Tere Hatcher Henry (Bud Henry), father Tom Moore, sisters Dawn Moore Gonzales (Michael Gonzales), Maria aka Ria Lerma (Joey Lerma,) Carli Moore Bailey (Jeff Bailey), brother Dylan  Moore (Sky Moore), nieces Fara Moore Cummings (PJ Cummings), Savanna Gonzales (Chris Edwards), nephews Kray Gonzales (Cassie Bailey), Joseph and Matthew Lerma, and Kaden Moore, nieces Ayla and Kaylee Moore, great nephews PJ, Finley and Levi Cummings.

She will be loved forever and deeply missed by all.

Feel free to convey condolences and memories on this site to share with the family.

The family wishes to thank all who contributed happiness to Tanya and to Micah.

A Celebration of Tanya’s Life will be scheduled as soon as feasible.
