Bennington, VT – Linda J Remington, 69, a resident of Hilltop Drive in Bennington, VT died Sunday December 18, 2022 at her residence following a long illness

She was born in Bennington, VT July 7, 1953. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Frost) Harrington. Linda received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. She later graduated from the Putnam Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was an LPN.

She worked at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center and several area nursing homes. Most recently Bennington Health and Rehab. She also owned and operated her own home care business entitled “Loving Hands Home Care”

As a youth Linda was a member of the Rainbow Girls Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the Red Mountain Chapter # 41 Order of Eastern Star in Arlington, VT. She was also a member of the Bennington Rural Fire Department Auxiliary and a former member of the North Bennington Fire Department Auxiliary

Survivors include her husband, David W. Remington of Bennington A sister, Marge Winslow of North Carolina. A brother William Harrington (Cheryl) of Bennington. A sister- in-law, Janet Harrington of Bennington. A nephew, CJ Remington (Deana) of Maine. A close friend Louise Santelli of Woodford along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Iva Harrington and three brothers, Fred, Robert and Edward Harrington.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral on Wednesday December 28, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Valley Falls, NY – Harry F Harrington Jr, 68, a resident of Birch Way of Valley Falls NY, passed away November 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Harry was born in Cambridge, NY on April 6, 1954 the son of the late Harry F. Harrington, Sr. and Carolyn Goodell and attended local schools.

Harry worked for a machine shop in North Hoosick, NY, then did custodial work for Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Vermont Veterans Home, and Hoosick Falls Health Center. He also worked for Flomatic, Jards, worked odd jobs and painted houses.

Harry enjoyed making lamps out of Jack Daniels bottles, hunting, fishing, watching baseball following NASCAR races and spending time with his family.

Harry is survived by his wife Mary (Hull) Harrington of Valley Falls whom he married May 26, 2001 in White Creek, NY, children Michelle Francoeur (Dan) of North Bennington, VT, Alma Joy (Pete Grande) of Brunswick, NY, Mary Steen (Matt) of Nassau, NY and John Joy (Nancy) of Cambridge, NY, sister Marilyn Gallett (Ronald) of White Creek, NY, brother Carl Harrington of Troy, NY, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sons Eugene and Frankie Joy, sisters Patricia Haynes, Carolyn Harrington and Bertha Russell and a great grandson Kyllian.

A celebration of life for Harry was held Monday December 5, 2022 at 1pm at Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home 213 West Main Street Bennington, VT. Interment followed in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Visiting hours at the funeral home were held from 11-1pm, 2 hours prior to the service. Randolph Osborne BrayQUEENSBURY NY — Randolph Osborne Bray, who grew up in Queensbury and was a lifelong resident of the area, died unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vt. He was 54.

Randy was born Sept. 29, 1963, in Glens Falls Hospital, the son of Dana and Marlyn (Plude) Bray of Queensbury, and was the middle child of five children.

In his youth, Randy enjoyed spending summers at Camp Dudley in Westport on Lake Champlain with his two brothers. He attended Queensbury High School and Proctor Academy in Andover, N.H., where he graduated in 1982. He enjoyed playing baseball in his teens and played football at Proctor Academy. After prep school, he attended Adirondack Community College and Alfred University, In addition to graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh.

Like his father and grandfathers, Randolph Osborne Bray was a successful businessman. He founded and operated the White Cab Co. in Glens Falls, and later he sold used cars. Randy was sociable and outgoing. In his free time he enjoyed sports, the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his parents, Randy is survived by the mother of his children, Nancy Sullivan Bray; his three sons, Spencer Bray, and twins, Myles Bray and Cameron Bray, all of Glens Falls; his brother, Christopher Bray and his wife, Kathleen, and their children, Devon, Luke, and Sophie, all of Yarmouth, Maine; a sister, Mia Bray; his sister-in-law, Karen Bray and her son, Avery, of Severna Park, MD, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tarra and Raja Prime also were survivors of Randy Bray

Services

As Randy requested, calling hours were on Friday, August 31st from 5 to 7 p.m. at Baker Funeral home, 11 Lafayette Street in Queensbury, NY 12804.

A graveside service was conducted by the Rev. Jean DeVaty at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 1st, at the family plot in The Evergreen Cemetery on Birch Avenue in Lake George.

In Randolph Osborne Bray’s memory, the family suggests that donations be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 172 Ottawa St, Lake George, NY 12845.
