GLENS FALLS NY — Dolores M Stone, 89, passed away at The Pines in Glens Falls with her daughter by her side Tuesday, July 31, 2018 after a brief illness. Born Aug.  13, 1928 in Amsterdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora Sygnarski.

Dolores went to cosmetology school, was a high school graduate and took some college courses. She worked for Fitzgerald Morris Baker Firth Law Firm and in her spare time she was a hair dresser.

In her free time, she enjoyed tending her garden, boating, running after her daughter, Michelle, and raising her parakeets.

In addition to her parents, Robert and Cora Sygnarski, Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Stone; mother-in-law, Anna Stone; Aunt Gene and Uncle Frank Kopac; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Petrill.

Survivors

Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Michelle D. Stone and Deborah Stone; also several nieces, nephews, cousins and her Toy Poodle, Angie.

There will be no public calling hours held.

A memorial service will take place at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY, 12804, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 11am with the Rev. Guy A. Childs, pastor of St. Michael’s Church, officiating.
