Mechanicville, NY – Constance M Dearstyne, 77, former resident of Cohoes, died peacefully in the comfort of her daughters home, early Sunday morning, December 18, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy of May 31, 1945, daughter of the late Warwick and Florence Kelly Wood, she was a 1964 graduate of Mechanicville High School.
Connie worked as a teacher’s aide for the Cohoes Middle School for many years. She was a doting grandmother who loved her family.
Sadly, Connie was predeceased by her husband Garry in 2004, her son Michael Dearstyne, who died this past August, her sisters Kathy Fountaine, this past April, and Carolyn DeMarco, in 2020.

Survivors include her daughter and son in law Christine and Michael Bastian, grandchildren Ryan Bastian, Jessica Dearstyne, Sandra and Nicholas Bastian, Logan Dearstyne, and Arianna Gonch, great grandchildren Landon, Jaxson, Colton and Aubree, and her brother Robert(Kathy) Wood, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A burial service at the Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871, where she will be interred alongside her husband Garry, will be December 21, 2022 at 11:00am. Those wishing to attend should arrive at the cemetery at 10:45AM.

Mechanicville, NY – Harold J Humphrey Sr, 86, of Mechanicville, formerly of Troy, peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

Born and educated in Cohoes, New York, he was the son of the late Harold Barringer and Mary B. Darby Humphrey and was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Galvin Humphrey.

Harold had been employed at Terry Haggerty Tire Co. in Menands.

He was also a communicant and the much loved long-time Sexton at the former St. Patrick’s Church in Troy and a member of their Knights of Columbus.

Devoted father of Darby Humphrey and Harold J. (Dee) Humphrey, Jr., brother of Helen Humphrey and the late Rosemary Kipp, also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. both at Transfiguration Parish (formerly St. Bonaventure’s Church in Speigletown) 50 Hillview Dr., Troy, New York 12182.

Interment will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
