Morgan Marie Bates, 20, a resident of Eagle Bridge, New York died unexpectedly Sunday February 27, 2022.
She was born in Bennington, VT March 29, 2001. She was the daughter of William George Bates and the late Tracy (Gardner) Bates. Morgan received her early education in Cambridge, NY and Kentucky. She graduated from Cambridge Central High School in 2019.
Morgan had been employed at Stewarts in Pownal, VT. She loved horses and worked at Long Shadow Farms in Cambridge, NY and most recently at Saratoga Stables in Saratoga, New York.
Morgan enjoyed horseback riding. She also enjoyed four wheeling and hunting.
Survivors include her father, William George Bates of Cambridge, NY. Her sister, Ashley Nicole O’Dell (Timothy) of Pownal. Her brothers, Matthuew A. Wooddell (Brittany) of North Carolina and her twin brother Zachary Joseph Bates of Salem, NY. Her paternal grandparents, Raymond Bates of Shushan, NY and Patricia Bates of Cambridge, NY along with two uncles, Robert Gardner (Josie) of Berlin, NY and Shawn Gardner (Lexie) of Bennington and four aunts, Heidi Gardner (Bob) of New Hampshire, Audrey Hunt (Leroy) of West Chazey, NY, Patricia Bates (Richard) of Cambridge, NY, and Linda Fifield of Manchester, VT and several cousins. She was predeceased by her mother Tracy Bates and her maternal grandparents, Robert and Judith Gardner. She is also predeceased by an uncle Raymond K. Bates Jr.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday March 5, from noon until 3:00 p.m.
A celebration of Morgan’s life will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
