Molly Kremers Williams

Manchester, VT – It is with great sadness that the family of Molly Kremers Williams announces her passing on November 11, 2024, in Manchester, VT at the age of 54.   While Molly is gone from this physical world, her energy, humor and shining smile will be remembered eternally by her family and countless friends.

Molly was born a Christmas baby on December 25, 1969 in Susanville, California. She took her first of many trips across the country from California to the East Coast with her family in their orange VW van when she was five.  She spent a year with her family in Ireland where she attended first grade and was deemed a “bold girl” by the local mothers by virtue of her energy and profound spunk.

When Molly was in middle school her family left California and relocated to Troy, New York, where her father, Marshall Kremers, successfully completed his Ph.D at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and her mother, Eileen Kremers, worked in New York State government. Molly always looked back on her years in Troy very fondly.

Her family then moved to Long Island where Molly graduated from Northport High School and met amazing, life long friends that continued to show their generosity and love to Molly until her death.

Molly received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Alfred University where she met the love of her life and true soul mate, Jeff Williams.

Molly and Jeff moved to the Albany, New York region, married, and worked in government and politics. They eventually settled in West Sand Lake, New York.  Molly served as the President of the Junior League of Troy and volunteered in numerous capacities.

Molly was truly blessed with a loving, happy family and could not be more proud of their two children, Kate and Tanner. They were the light of her life and everything they achieve in their lives will be a direct result of Molly’s love, support and guidance.

Molly also had an amazing younger brother, Benjamin Kremers. Molly and Ben had a lifelong loving relationship – inseparable in their youth and always connected despite being separated by continents and time zones. She loved him dearly.

Molly worked mainly in health care policy, starting with New York Senate Research and then Medical Society of the State of New York. She spent the majority of her successful career in state and national government affairs and patient advocacy for Wyeth and Pfizer.  Her Pfizer family network was strong and with her until the end.

In 2017, Molly and Jeff moved to Manchester, Vermont, to be closer to their shared hobbies and interests.  Molly loved to spend time in the woods, on the ski trail, tennis court, paddle tennis court or golf course. Molly was a true force of nature throughout her life and was active until her last days, playing a few holes of golf on a bright fall day with Jeff and complaining about her drives.

Molly was a leader in the Parent Teacher Association for Burr and Burton Academy while Tanner finished high school and spent time volunteering at Hildene, the historic Lincoln Family Home in Manchester. Molly was extremely grateful for her family’s extremely close network of friends in the Manchester area who took care of her and supported her family until the very end.

Molly is predeceased by her father, Marshall Kremers, and survived by her loving husband, Jeff Williams, and children, Kate and Tanner Williams.  She is also survived by her mother, Eileen Kremers, and Eileen’s partner, Judge Peter Fox Cohalan, of Sayville, New York, along with her brother and wife, Melissa Kremers, of San Francisco, California, and her Mother and Father in Law, Jan and Rob Williams, of Latham, New York.  She is also survived by numerous cousins and loving family relations in California, Oregon and Washington.

A celebration of life will be planned for the coming spring, to better capture Molly’s light, personality and enduring green thumb.
