Merle E. (Bucky) Becker, 65, a resident of Old Harbour Road in Woodford, VT died unexpectedly Sunday February 27, 2022 at his residence.
He was born in Bennington, VT November 12, 1956. He was the son of the late Merle and Marilyn (Greene) Becker. Merle received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School.
Merle worked as a truck driver. He worked for several different companies over the years. He most recently worked for Manty Brothers Construction in Shaftsbury, VT.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Merle also enjoyed going to fairs to watch tractor pulls and going to the races. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything in the world.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Becker of Pownal, VT and Eric Becker (Bonnie) of Bennington. Eight grandchildren, Cameron, Kyrea, Shane, Hunter, Aiden, Aubrey, Emily, Dylan, and a great granddaughter, Brinley. Three sisters, Carol Gulley of White Creek, NY, Melissa Telford of Shaftsbury, VT and Patricia Waite of Pownal, VT. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services. The family will be planning a celebration of life at a later date.
