Maria Guadalupe Trujillo Albarran

Gonzales, Ca — Maria Guadalupe Trujillo Albarran, 66, of Gonzales, California passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Salinas after lengthy medical conditions. She was born October 12, 1952 in Santa Inez, Guanajuato, Mexico as the daughter of Gonzalo Albarran Perea and Agustina Perez Cano.

Maria is now reunited in heaven with her father Gonzalo Albarran Perea, brother Vernardo Albarran, and her little brother Rafael Albarran.

Maria Guadalupe Trujillo Albarran and Antonio Trujillo Alberto met in Santa Ines, Guanajuato, Mexico. They married in Nuevo Chupicuaro, Guanajuato, Mexico in 1971. They lived in La Loma Bonita in Gunajuato, Mexico after they married.

She came to live in Monterey County in 1975, and worked in agriculture in the Salinas Valley. She was very loving, humble, caring, and supportive with a Heart of Gold. She came from Mexico in 1974, with a purpose in mind so that her children would have a better future. Her dream was for her children to continue with their education, careers, and be happy. Anyone that knew her would agree that she was concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with her own. At the table, she would feed everyone else before herself no matter if it was with immediate family or large gatherings. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to her children, husband, grandchildren, great-grandchild, daughter in laws, son in laws, and extended family. Also, her friends in the community were very important to her; she loved living in Gonzales.

Maria loved cross-stitching pillow cases , cooking delicious mole, tamales, enchiladas, chiles rellenos, ground beef and smashed potato fried tacos with salsa, sour cream, and lettuce, sopes, you name it. All her food was delicious. Her favorite food was clam chowder sold in Monterey, California. She loved Lasagna.

Maria is survived by her husband Antonio Trujillo Alberto and 6 children; Rosa Rodriguez, Antonio Trujillo, Laura Trujillo, Mariano Trujillo, Marisa Trujillo, and Maria G. Trujillo. She had 22 grandchildren; Jazmin Jimenez, Mayra Jimenez, Ruby Trujillo, Alfredo Rodriguez III, Natalie Trujillo, Rolando Perez, Anthony Rodriguez, Mark Rodriguez, Jennifer Perez, Jackeline Jimenez, Alexandra Jimenez, Crystal Trujillo, Aliyah Trujillo, Julie Venegas, Alice Trujillo, Cuauhtemoc Perez, Isaiah Trujillo Gandara, Cesar Trujillo Gandara, Jiselle Venegas, Jocelyn Venegas, Mia Trujillo Gandara, Marbella Hernandez, and one great grandson, Efren Jimenez. She is also survived by her mother, Agustina Perez Cano, her sisters and brother; Maria Del Carmen Albarran, Angela Albarran, Lourdes Albarran, Agustina Albarran, and Gonzalo Albarran.

The Trujillo family hosted a celebration of life for Maria Guadalupe Trujillo on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Saint Theodore’s Catholic Church. The viewing was held from 5 p.m. to 7p.m and the Rosary was from from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There was a mass on Friday, May 24, 2019, 1 p.m. at Saint Theodore’s Catholic Church located at 116 South Belden St. Gonzales, CA 93926, and after mass, the Gonzales Cemetery was the place for her burial on 1000 US-101 in Gonzales, California.
