
Florida – Lowell Bowman Grizzle, age 92 of Kingsport, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 14, 2025. Lowell was born on September 22, 1932, in Herald, VA to Joseph and Jeanette Grizzle. Lowell worked as a Pharmacist in the Kingsport area for 55 plus years.
Lowell was a member of Bible Way Church, and he found solace in studying God’s word. Lowell was a private pilot for 45 years and flying was his passion.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Nell Grizzle; and sister, Carol Grizzle Reasor. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Peggy Grizzle; daughter, Angie Grizzle; two sons, Keith Grizzle and wife, Veronica, and Stephen Grizzle; six grandchildren, Rylee Grizzle, Myles Grizzle, Quentin Shelton, Lansing Shelton, Kiser Shelton, and Nicholas Rowland and wife, Kindall; and three great grandchildren, Declan, Ivy, and Beckett; one brother, James Ennis Grizzle and wife, Barbara; five nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Oak Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Rick Vannoy officiating. Rylee Grizzle, Myles Grizzle, David Lawson, Steve Cassell, Quentin Shelton, and Lansing Shelton will be serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:50 pm.
