Linda Vivan Holland-Hunter

Altamonte Springs, FL – Linda Vivan Holland-Hunter, 75, of Altamonte Springs, Florida has passed away. She succumbed to complications after a 10 year brave battle with cancer. She was born in September of 1944 in North Port Long Island, NY as the daughter of Richard and Lottie Calvert.

Linda attended the Bronx School of Science from 1962-1966 and Graduated with Scholarship Honors. She then attended Adelphi University in Long Island, NY from 1967-1971 and received a BA with Honors. She also attended New York State University in NY, NY 1990, receiving a BS in Information Systems.

Linda first married Ronald Holland, who is now deceased. She later married Randy Hunter, who is still living. They met working in Miami Fl. out of an office in Hollywood Fl. They were married for 35 years, and were also known as Momma Bear and Papa Bear.

Surviving Family Members: Cousin – Arthur Bailey  NY BS NYU Also Served with honors UNSAF – Ret. living in North Dakota ,and his son Arthur  Bailey III Brooklyn Best friends for live her sisters:  Sharon Randolph Phoenix  AZ, of  . Brenda Nicolson LA Ca and Ms. Gerry Harper and Dough McCollan both of Greensboro NC; Kim Cook  Tampa,  FL. Robyn Rodriquez and Kim Shaw of Orlando Fl. Jackie Bonilla and family, Linda Rivero, Eve Solosky, Daisy Gutierrez and Bxaide Ecks aka Bea. All from Altamonte Springs, Fl. Her Brothers the BLFS  Donnie Hunt, Eric (Hollywood) Davis, Gene Banks, Art Green, William and Walter Great and Norman Kennedy and Andre Turner. 

Predeceased Family members of Linda Vivian Holland-Hunter:

Lottie and Waymon  Clavert- Mattews – ran family business in Long Island, NY. Two daughters deceased: Kate and  JoAnn and Roy Brown. 

Bertha and  Theodor Brasher were the original caterers to the Rockefellers’ and Vanderbilt’s of  LI- NY the “Hamptons”  also where a members of the Shinnecock Indian Nation. As they were the only minority family in the original town they also took in Veterans. 

Linda was many things: an IT Project Manager, Entrepreneur ( Linda’s Great Gifts), a Motivational CEO, Past Speaker Member of Orlando Adult Literacy League. Linda Holland-Hunter had many first and a list of accomplishments along with many honors just to name a few… She was team member that wrote the original code for the American Express card. She over years saved many companies with her skills with IT and Clients Relations’ from AT&T in NC to numbers banks , hospitals and utility companies all over the country. PeopSoft HRMS- HCM-CRM-SCM Guru. both government and private industries. Member of the NRA and Phi Beta Kapa.

Linda loved colleting Teddy Bears, Jewelry, as well as traveling in Europe, Africa, Mexico, and the Caribbean. However, her heart was always helping others at the Cancer Center and helping children, wounded veterans and of course her beloved Bronx School of Science in her city New York, New York.

In accordance with her wishes her body was given to science and the funeral home handling her transition home going was Bergen Funeral Services in Naples, Florida.

Any Donation you may want to make over the years in her name would be The Wounded Veterans Association, the Cancer Society and The Bronx School of Science.
