Harold David Morris

Harold David “Dave” Morris, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. He was born on July 21, 1945, in Springfield, OH.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Harold Morris and Thelma (John) Snyder; son, David Morris; daughter, Linda Crew; brother-in-law, Tom Knisley; and many close friends. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Shirley; sisters, Lynn Morris, Artie Langen, and Kelly (Brian) Henry; daughters, Jeanne Malone (Danny) and Lisa (Zachary) Allender; son, Kirk (Dawn) Massie; mother-in-law, Janice Daniels; sister-in-law, Barb (Joe) Castiaux; brother-in-law, Tim (Debbie) Knisley; grandchildren, Amanda, Mallory (Matt), Chelsea (Bryan), Emily, Cody (Alexa), Miranda (Jared), Maddie (Matt), Jake, Macie, Rynnie, Kyle, Sarah (Colin), Josie, Brantley, and Colton; great-grandchildren, Blake, Jensen, Bianca, Lincoln, Savannah, Oliver, and Waylon; nieces, Heather, Brianne, Rochelle (Jim), Jenny (John), Amy (Chance) and Gerin (Tyler); nephews Jacob (Erin), David (Carmel), Jason (Ronni), and Jason (Zachary); and many other loved ones including life long friends, Dick and Dari Wiles.

Dave was a member of Eternal Life Ministries.  He loved riding his motorcycle and spoiling his many grandchildren, who adored him greatly.  He was the best grandpa to not only his own grandchildren, but to all of their friends as well.  He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, fixing mowers, and helping anyone in need.  He left this world with one final act of generosity by donating his body to the Wright State University School of Medicine.

There will be a memorial service in honor of Dave at his church, 2237 Tavenner Ave. Springfield, OH, on Sunday, May 16th at 2:00 for close family and friends with Pastor Linda Jones officiating.  Food and fellowship will follow.
