— Christine “Chris” Evelyn (Trimble) Budd, born on January 25, 1947 in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to the late Margaret and James Trimble, passed away on September 10, 2018 in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Christine worked as a hairdresser to put herself through college and graduated from University of Michigan with a double Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. She worked as an engineer retiring from Ford and also worked for Saturn, Visteon, and Chrysler. She also served on the Committee for Safeguarding Impartiality and Advisory Board for Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. and Perry Johnson Registrars Carbon Emission Services, Inc. after retiring. Christine lived life on her own terms, and was a goal-oriented achiever who broke barriers for female engineers in the automotive industry. Always active, Christine was an avid golfer, unless weather forced her to the gym instead. Her life was dedicated to her family and golf.
Survivors
Christine is survived by her daughters and grandchildren, Tami (Richard) Carr (Stefan Carr and Melissa Coppola; Gaelen Stephenson; and Aaron Carr) and Nicolle Carrion (Madeleine “Maddie” Howard); and her siblings, their spouses, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her brother, Steve (Jean) Trimble (Heidi and Craig Brenden – Marissa, Layne; Ashley and Joel Egertsen – Mckenna; Lindsey and Zach McCargill – Parker, Emory, Mirielle; and Molly Trimble); and her sisters, Diana (Dave) Siefkes (Scott and Sarah Siefkes – Charlotte, Michael and Becky Siefkes; Kim and Jason Reyzek – Tatum), Sue (Joe) Pedersen (Greta and Craig Southall; Holly and Ryan Lockrem – Justice, Calvin, Gus, Liberty; Matthew and Erin Pedersen), Barb (Bill) Post (Amanda and Brent Hahn – William, Margaret, Henry; Tony and Marti Post – Marie, Charles, David; and Amber Post), Vicki (Mike) Oetken (Sarah and Tim Appel – Nicholas, Elizabeth; Jenny and Neal Nightingale – Clare, Laura), Cheryl Blaha (Michael Blaha and Ashley Sinclair – Olivia, Melanie, Rodney, Allison, Elijah; Sally Blaha and Scott Runnels – Niko; and Peter Blaha – Katie, Brandon, ach, Amber, Andrew), Marlene (Lyle) Griswold (Jon and Sibel Griswold – Talia, Joseph; Katie and Matt Krantz – Rylee, Isaac; Justin and Dannelle Griswold – Teia), and Angela (Felix) Aguirre (Celia and Zane Rice – Leela, Mason; James Aguirre and Devon Millman – Bennett). She also leaves behind her greatly loved cat, Gracie and countless friends and extended family.
Celebration of Life
Friends and family can pay their respects and celebrate the life of Christine at the memorial service, officiated by Pastor Paul Gateman & Pastor Matthew Bode, on Friday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m.at Zion Lutheran Church, 143 Albany Street, Ferndale, Michigan, 48220. Luncheon to follow service directly. All are welcome.
